Will my dumpster have a door?

Most of our dumpsters feature a door that can be opened to carry in items that are too large to toss over the side. The door is located on the end that rolls off the truck first. You’ll need at least eight feet of space in front of the dumpster to open the door completely.

Is there a right way to load a dumpster?

It’s best to load a dumpster as evenly as possible. This will allow you to fit more debris inside and help to ensure you don’t overload the dumpster. It’s also important to make sure that no items hang over the side or stick up over the top of the container, since this can make it dangerous for the hauler to pick up the dumpster. Please note that you may be charged an additional fee if your container is overfilled.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster?

You’ll only need to acquire a dumpster permit if you intend to have your container dropped off on a street or other public property. Our service representatives will be able to tell you if you’ll need a permit before we set up your order. Learn more about obtaining a permit for your dumpster.

Should I be home for delivery/pickup?

There’s no need to be present for delivery or pickup. On delivery and pickup day, just make sure the area where you want the dumpster placed is clear and not blocked by cars or anything else that may prevent us from accessing the spot. Please also be sure the dumpster is loaded properly, with nothing sticking up over the top or hanging over the sides.

Can a dumpster sit on an incline?

As long as the ground is even and the slope is less than a 15 percent grade, we can generally place a dumpster on an incline. A good test is whether a parking brake is needed for vehicles on your driveway: if a parking brake is needed, we cannot place a dumpster there. Be aware that it is always up to the driver’s discretion to determine whether your driveway presents a safety hazard.

Should I lay down plywood?

We don’t require you to lay down plywood or other materials where you want the dumpster placed. However, we do recommend it to help protect the surface from any scratches or scrapes.

When loading a dumpster, make sure all of the trash goes inside. Don’t let anything hang over the sides of the dumpster or poke through the top. This could make your trash pickup late because drivers can’t take dumpsters that are too heavy.

How long are typical rental periods?

Usually, you can rent a dumpster for between 7 and 14 days. Depending on where you live, what’s available, and how much demand there is, you can usually extend your rental period for a low daily rate. Please also keep in mind that if you keep your roll-off dumpster longer than the time you were supposed to, you will be charged a fee for each extra day.

How often will my trash be picked up?

We pick up once a week, every two weeks, or once a month. When you set up your rental, you can choose the best choice for your needs. If something changes during the time of your contract, all you have to do is call our office to change the time of your pickups.

What contract lengths do you offer?

You can order a lock bar for your front-loading dumpster to keep other people from using it. Both 2 yard and 4 yard dumpsters can be ordered with wheels to make them easier to move. Both of these features cost money, which will be spelled out in your contract and added as a line item to your monthly bill.

Will it damage my driveway or landscaping?

We know that when you mix a dumpster rental, driveway, sidewalk, grass and expensive landscaping, you might be less than thrilled with the final result! Despite our precautions, however, there is always the potential of damage to your property. This damage can be caused by heavy trucks, the weight of the containers or poor surface conditions. Myrtle Beach Dumpster Rental Center is not financially liable for the damages caused by normal dumpster operation.

Obviously, the size of the dumpster you’re going to need will depend on the size of your project. We offer 10, 15, 20 and 30 yard dumpsters. If for any reason the dumpster is improperly loaded and cannot be transported safely, you will have to unload the dumpster to a safe level before we can remove it. Additional charges may be assessed.
